Janette DuCharme
Janette DuCharme was a woman in misery as a lady of the evening in 1020's France. Her life however
took on a drastic change when late one night she was being chased and accosted by two roughins when
the image of a man appeared out of nowhere to her rescue. The man introduced himself as Lucien LaCroix
and stated that he had observed her for a long time now and he offered her power and life beyond her
imagining. He told her that if she would yeild to him that she would never again be at the mercy of others
and no man would ever dare touch her again without her consent. She agreed readily and he brought her across.
She traveled with him from that time on and in 1228 while they were in Paris she came across a Knight of the
Crusades that she had to have. She brought Nicholas back to her dwelling and after they had made love she
introduced him to her sire Lucien LaCroix. Who then brought the Knight over and into their little family.
They all traveled together and lived in harmony for a time. And she and Nicolas were lovers and much like a married
couple for a long while though they never made it official in anyway. After a time Janette grew restless with their
relationship and the restrictions that it placed upon her she wanted to be about and try new things. So she left Nicholas
in search of new adventures. Nicholas became disenchanted with his vampire existance and began to long to become mortal once again. Neither she nor LaCroix could convince him that he should
embrace his nature and live the life that he had chosen with them. But he would have none of it and eventually they
would all go onto live seperate existances though Janette was still always in contact and always adheard to LaCroix's
will unlike Nicholas. She has always excepted what she is and has reveled in it. She has been a vampire so long that she
is comfortable with her life as such and
Now she has once again found Nicholas in the city of Toronto. And she too decided to stay for a time in this city. She opened the nightclub "The Raven" that quickly became a haven and hotspot for memembers of their kind. She still has feelings for Nicholas though she sees him much more as a friend and more of a brother now than their previous stint as lovers. She has come to his aid more than once and will continue to try to do what she can for him and for their kind...
