Down through the ages Lucien LaCroix has been many things the times when he actually walked the earth
remains for the most part a mystery shrouded in mystery. It is know that he was a famous and much reveried
General in the Roman army during the times around A.D. 79 and before. He had a house in the infamous city of
Pompeii, and was actually brought across by his daughter Daria who had become a vampire while he was away in
battle. She brought him across into the world of the undead even as the great Mount Vesuvius erupted and sealed
the doom of all of the rest of the others around them. Since that time he has lived all over the world and sired
several "children" of his own.
Many years after he came across the path of a damsel in distress in France by the name of Janette DuCharme.
The beauty was being sorely mistreated by her "employer" and many others. He offered her the power to overcome her
enemies to never again to be used or mis-
treated by others. She accepted and he brought
her over into his world of darkness. She became a constant companion for him as he taught her the ways of their kind.
Then in the year 1228 in Paris Janette before him a Knight whom she wanted to join them in their little family. LaCroix was more
than willing and brought Nicholas de Brabant across into their world. However Nicholas did not revel in his new found powers and life as Janette had and longed to become mortal and constantly shun all that it meant to be
one of their kind. This greatly enraged LaCroix by what he sees as a slap in the face from his wayward son. He sought to
punish Nicholas in various ways until he repents of what he sees as a sin against his own nature, until Nicholas once
again embraces the true nature, and returns to the grace of he as his father.
Now he has found Nicholas once again in the city of Toronto. LaCroix has settled into the role of a radio personality the
Nightcrawler at station CERK in Toronto. Where he constantly sends his guidance and words of wisdom and urging to Nick over the airwaves as well as to taunt him
for what he sees as his frivolous search to became mortal once again. LaCroix will never be far from Nicholas until he
makes peace with his vampire father and embraces his true nature once more. Or one or both of them meet their final end...
