Late one night in Paris France in the year 1228 Nicholas' path crossed with that of a enchanting temptress named Janette Ducheme. He became a cop to try and repay society for his past, and as a way to work towards redeeming his damaged and lost soul. His mortal police partner Det. Donald Schanke and the rest of his counterparts do not know his dark secret. The only mortal that shares the secret of his immortal life is Dr. Natalie Lambert whom Nick met one night when he was severly injured and thought dead and taken to the county morgue where Natalie is the County Coroner. When he came back to "life" on her table that night both of their lives where forever changed. Natalie began to search for a cure for his vampiric condition, and along the way their mutual goals began to blossom into something much more than mere friendship. However Nick struggles daily with the endless hunger that lies so close under the surface. It is a constant battle of will and mind as he tries to keep his inner beast at bay.
