Javier Vachon is a 400 year old vampire. In his mortal life he was a Spanish Conquistador dashing and daring as they come. He was brought across in 1531 by a Incan vampire named Angel together with his blood-brother 'the Inca'. Angel made them both vow to fight for good and justice before she walked into the sun and ended her endless night.

Yet Vachon was more of a restless rebel and he went out to discover the riches and pleasures of the vast world about him. In present times he relocated to Toronto and took up residence in an old abandoned church. He is a frequent fixture at the Raven club.

Vachon's existence changed one night when Nick Knight's mortal partner Tracey Vetter stumbled upon his secret and now he is duty bound to protect her from the other vampires in their community. He also was moved by the feelings that Tracey stirred inside of him... could love be in the mix? He is close friends with another vampire called Screed and he is the sire of the beautiful blonde female vampire Urs.
